My wife had a 1130 appointment on Sunday for oil change And was told NLT 1230 to finish. My wife did not get out of the Honda shop until 1:30 pm. She told me she was not satisfied with her service and even thought her Pilot was forgotten about.

Ya know, as someone who works in the automotive industry, I like to think I’m more patient than most when it comes to having to take my Si in for service. But every time I come here, it gets even worse. I swear, when my maintenance package is up- I’m never coming back here unless it’s warranty related. The service advisors talk to me like I’m a complete idiot, the service takes WAY too long, and half the time they can’t find my maint. plan and they want me to pay up front & then return for a refund. (including the time I had to pay for my rotation and they didn’t even do it!) I had a great experience buying Susan & I love everyone in the parts department, but their service department is absolutely terrible. I had an online appointment confirmed for 11am for a synthetic oil change and wiper blades. After being told it would be done in an hour and a half (still way too long for just an oil change, but whatever), my family and I took off to go kill time and look at the vehicles on the lot. Unfortunately we were present when they moved my vehicle from the front check in area and I got to witness a miserable attempt at someone attempting to drive my manual transmission. All you could hear was overrevving and slipping of the clutch. At 12pm, I noticed my civic Si sitting out back by the delivery doors and not in the shop. I was not happy. Yet, we went inside to wait. At my promised completion time of 12:30, I asked my friend to go see if she was still sitting outside. Come to find - IT WAS. I had been wandering around a half closed dealership for an hour and a half with two kids, one of which is special needs and in a wheelchair, for my car to sit in a hot parking lot. I immediately went to Nancy and asked her when my car was going to be done as it’s still sitting outside and supposed to be done by now. She calls the shop. Then informs me “yeah I guess they’re running an hour behind on oil changes.” - meaning I would be there for ANOTHER hour. I told her to get my car back up front, we were leaving. All I got from Her was a snotty look and a scoff. No apology or offer to reschedule. I was NOT impressed by her service at all. From the check in she was incredibly pushy for me to get my 30k service done, even after informing her that I work at a shop and I would be handling it myself. I received a five minute “schooling” on what brake fluid does and why I should flush it right now, versus my interest in having the injection service completed on my direct injected, turbocharged Civic. I informed her that I’ve been working as a service writer for 12 years now, I’m well aware of the purpose of brake fluid. Needless to say, I am less than impressed with my wasted Sunday afternoon. Now, I’m taking my Civic somewhere where I will have to PAY for my service, but at least I know I won’t get any attitude from my advisor and the techs can competently drive a manual.

Slowwwwwww...as has become the norm. Lots of excuses for poor service. This is not the West Hills I have grown accustomed to over the past 30 years. The only thing saving you is that the quality of the mechanical work remains top notch.
