When I originally called to schedule a service for an oil leak in my car I was told it would be 10 weeks until I could get. I tried to get in touch with the service dept a couple different ways but nothing worked. The leak got progressively worse, and was ruining my driveway.
I called again 4 weeks after my initial call and finally was able to speak to the service manager. After explaining the leak, and the odor of it, he determined it was an emergency fix and got me in ASAP. He was very helpful. That has been the only positive experience I have had with the service dept.
In my previous visit it took 6 weeks to schedule an oil change/routine service.
Honestly i feel like you need to treat your service department like the dentist and just book your next appt when you finish one just to have an option.
10 weeks to get in for a repair is a joke. Especially when we were sold the comprehensive service package. Feels like one big scam.
So no, overall not satisfied.
And I’d be happy to speak to anyone about this but I’m fairly certain that no one would ever reach out based on what I have experienced so far.

Erick was friendly and helpful but my issue is that the car was there two weeks and they misdiagnosed the true issue. Driving away my car broke down with same problem - battery was draining - on San Mateo bridge and I barely made it to a safe spot before having it towed back.

In truth, my experience with Hyundai was actually ridiculous but my experience with Liz was awesome. Liz was new when I met her and just learning how things were working there. Luckily, there is now a new GM and mostly new employees who have all been great so hopefully future customers will not have the same experience I did. My car was at the dealership for TWO months!! It was a victim of a recall and needed a new engine. Two Santa Fe’s, a Tucson and a Genesis loaner later, not to mention a new engine and as a result of it sitting idle for two months…a new battery, I finally have my car back!
Liz was great at troubleshooting and went out of her way to help me from the start. She’s definitely customer focused which is a complete 180 from what I experienced with the prior management. Tim the GM got me a loaner from the sales floor when they couldn’t supply a loaner that would work for me. I appreciate their help.

Eric did a fantastic job and was very helpful. I do have a problem, however, with how long it took me to get an appointment at San Bruno Hyundai. I had a check engine light on and I didn’t want to drive around like that for two months, so I took it in to my regular car repair place and they read the code and said I was safe to drive around until I could get into San Bruno Hyundai.

Irving gave me the best customer service I have received at Hyundai so far. He was very knowledgeable and clear about explaining the repairs that were going to happen and was accommodating in completing all the additional repairs needed that were unexpected. All the repairs were completed at the promised time and Irving again greeting me with a smile and a freshly washed car. I hope to be assisted by Irving the next time I come back for another service.
