Things didn’t start out so well when I first arrived for my appointment. Whoever I had originally made the appointment with erroneously told me it would be no problem to replace my windshield during my service. I arrived to find that was not the case. Darius fortunately came along and saved my entire experience there! He was able to make the windshield happen the next day, helped us with another car that needed servicing, etc. Everything was resolved once Darius was involved

I was charged for a tire install when I just needed it repaired. I could’ve installed myself and saved money. I was also repeatedly asked for services I didn’t go in for in an attempt to upsell me. The inspector also told me my battery tested bad and would need to be replaced. I had recently bought this battery so I went for a second opinion and found that I was lied to by Honda. They probably didn’t even check my battery just read the old information on file.

As usual all the staff at Honda of Oakland are extremely kind to me and my autistic son who loves to come to Honda of Oakland. Carlos Molina gave me excellent service and my car was completed in a short amount of time. I will see you all on my next oil change and brake inspection. I tell everyone I know that has a Honda that they need to come to a Honda of Oakland to get their car serviced where you are always treated great by everyone!

Taz was great! It was the male service advisor working with her who wasn’t very nice. When she went to lunch, he came to me and recommended different things, one of which he said was a drive belt which he said had a “crack” in it. I asked if I could see what he was talking about and he said he didn’t have the manpower to take the car down to show me. He kept insisting that they would replace it and then, I could have the old belt back to see. I told him I wanted to see what he was referring to as a “crack”. before I made a decision. He said he didn’t have time and kept pressuring me to have it replaced as once he gets it down, I’ll have to come back another time. I asked him if he could take a picture and he said he’ll see. When he eventually brought the car around, there was no “crack” in the belt, it was just worn. It was upsetting that he used these pressure and somewhat deceptive tactics. Definitely NOT good customer service. Thought you should know that Taz was very customer friendly. She apologized she was out to lunch when I had been approached by the other service advisor.

The communication that I received at the Honda of oakland service center for my recent service was completely unacceptable. When I dropped off my car, I let Chris know that I needed to pick up my children by 5 PM and he informed me that he would be giving me a call between 3 and 4 PM with the status of my vehicle. That did not happen. He left the day without ever informing me that my car was finished or that he was transferring me to another advisor. I called multiple times in the afternoon to try and get a hold of a representative and I was not able to. I was not even told I could pick up my car until 5:51 PM. And didn’t receive a text message or any form of communication until 5:55 PM from Hong Nong Who was quite dismissive of my situation and the fact that I did not have a vehicle to pick up my children. I will be in contact with your service manager, Alan Havernas and the general manager- Bryson Hicks. About the poor service I feel I received from both Chris Abernathy and Hong Nong.
