You lost a customer on the repair side of things. Around the start of this year I took my Prius into your dealership. In this stop I checked my brake pads. I heard two things from the repairman. One it was just rust on the rotors, two that my brake pads had not worn out and were very much fine. Fast forward to 08/18/25. I came in today and spent nearly 200 dollars to test my struts, change my cabin filter, and rotate my tires/check my brake pads. I was told that I needed to replace all the above, that this would cost me nearly 3,500 dollars for the repair. I inwardly started to hyperventilate. I was thinking the repair would be a fraction of the cost. I called my personal mechanic to schedule an appointment. This never happens, but he told me that he had free time right now. So I drove to his shop, watched him do a few tests of my struts, and check my brake pads. He said the struts were worn, but when he pushed down on the hood, the car did not bounce. He also took a tire off and checked the struts and brake pads. He told me that the brake pads still had padding. I have a Prius with regenerative braking. That still has about 10,000-15,000 miles of brakes left on these pads. Needless to say I now doubt heavily Heart City Toyota’s mechanics shop. I have had this mechanic for years, and he has been my parents mechanic since I was young. He has not lead me wrong. I came to Heart City Toyota because I thought they would know my car better in regards to the suspension. I now leave heavily questioning if it wasn’t more about charging people who have and/or willing to pay the nearly 3,500 dollars. Instead of getting a second, or in my case most likely third opinion. I spent nearly 120 dollars at your shop for some tests. Then 60 plus dollars and change for a cabin air filter. I know I can do better. I am letting you know in the hopes that you can as well. I don’t mean that to insult anyone. I want the best for your dealership. You can imagine though my frustration. If someone reads this, perhaps I maybe helping Heart City Toyota and anyone else who choses to repair their vehicle there. So this is why I am revealing my experience. I wish for whoever reads this a good day.

Quick and efficient

This was the 2nd time that my air filter box was not bolted down. If we are not doing this right what else are we not doing right? The first time I let it go as an honest mistake but a 2nd time is just being a bad mechanic and going to fast to get stuff out the door.

I was told directly that I would have to approve any charges before they would be applied. I declined all of the work advised due to finding various, much cheaper options. When I came to pick up the car after having no work done to it, I was hit with a $215 bill and then notified by the sweet lady at the desk that there was a recall issued on the car that was not performed. This is unacceptable.

My only complaint is that the gentleman who checked me in told me 25 minutes but it took almost an hour and a half. It was a good thing I was in a hurry.

Everyone at the dealership was very helpful and had me come right over to repair a tire with a screw in it. Really appreciated the immediate service!
