I had no issue with the representative; I want to make that abundantly clear. I want to stress how interestingly inflated the prices were when it came to “unexpected maintenance” on my car. First, the oil pan drain being stuck and the techs being skeptical of pulling it makes sense. But the drain being stuck in the first place without not being over torqued does not. Drains do not just “get stuck” for no reason. The only logical explanation is that the drain plug was over torqued last time it was taken in for an oil change. On top of that, charging me for the oil pan replacement, which Toyota more than likely would have just changed the bottom half of the pan, which costs about 50 dollars with a gasket and charging me over $500 dollars is purely heinous. I’m not a fan of the sticker shock I received today. With this review, if there are further discussions that are to be had, then please feel free to contact me. Whoever does so I request a service superior as well. Again, I want to stress that my service rep Barton did a pretty good job explaining everything to me today. I have no issue with him at all for doing his job and relaying messages to me.
