Courteous, friendly, professional, answered my questions, and while my Prius was being serviced he personally came and found me to give me information, updates, and to get my approval before moving forward with a battery replacement. It really took way too long just for a check up and oil change 3 hours I was already desperate to get going to my day!!! It always took like 1 hours and a half but this time was way too long, I won't came back to this place...

Unfortunately, it is very unlikely that I will ever return to Norm Reeves Toyota San Diego service department or recommend it to others.     I scheduled an oil change appointment for Friday 29 March at 10:00.  When I arrived, I was told it would take a maximum of two hours. I was also informed that my vehicle had a recall. I asked how long it would take to complete the recall and Richard informed me that it would take three to four hours. I let him know that I would not be able to do it today since I had another appointment at 1pm.  He informed me that he would have to say that I declined the service elevating Toyota of liability.  This did sit well with me so I thought about attempting to adjust my schedule. I quickly approached Richard and asked if they could get me out by 2pm?  He said he could so I told him to conduct the oil change and the recall. I decided to rearrange my Friday schedule.   Here is where I see a complete lack of consideration. At about 1:15 Richard approaches me and informs me that they cannot get to the recall by 2pm. Since the oil change was supposed to take no more than two hours I was completely baffled.  I then told Richard since they could not perform the recall I would assume he would remove the comment that I refused to have the recall performed since it was clearly not my fault.  He then states that it is also not their fault that I had another appointment. I had made the attempt to get it done. My time was not considered and an extra hour of my time was used.  I then waited for another 20 minutes to pay and get on my way.   Further illustration of not being customer friendly/helpful:  As I attempted to pay I asked if I could pay cash since all I saw was the means to use a card. Richard informed me that I could, but he could not provide change.  If needed I, could go get change from the parts department or walk to the 7/11 across the street to get change.  If one goes in to have service how would they know exactly what their bill would be and have the exact amount?   I hope the Norm Reeves Toyota San Diego Service Department will make the appropriate changes.  This was an unsatisfactory experience.  Given my encounter, customer satisfaction is clearly NOT a priority of the Norm Reeves Toyota San Diego Service Department.   If further information is needed I can be reached at ****-****-xxxx.   J.M.
