This experience was unfortunate because I was deceived about the cost of programming a key I had brought. Clayton charged me more than what he had initially said without acknowledging the difference. When confronted about it he had a rude attitude over the phone. Because of this, I will not be coming back to this establishment.

Poor customer service, ridiculous long wait time when there are no customers so I don’t know why it was so long to provide me with any service. I called Salesman Jose as soon as the check engine light came on and he said to bring it in but it was Christmas Eve and I was 2 hours away so I could not come until Friday evening. When I got to the dealership Friday evening and explained the situation to Mark Maro and asked what would be done and if I would be able to return the vehicle, he said they would have to check the vehicle but that the vehicle was sold “as is”. If he would have just said it had to be checked instead of saying it was sold “as is” I might not be as upset. Even though the vehicle was sold “as is” that doesn’t excuse the big issue it had. Under California Vehicle Code § 11713.18 the dealership failed to inspect the vehicle and/or disclose what was wrong with it. Another issue that happened was that I paid for the alarm system which was not activated upon delivery falling under California Vehicle Code § 11713 and Civil Code § 1770(a)(5), (7), (9), overall it was already a breach of contract because of that. This whole situation was a big waste of my time and all workers except Jose were unhelpful and seemed like I inconvenienced them with making them do their job. Very grateful I did not have to purchase a vehicle with this dealership.

Upon drop off at 9am at my appointment time, I noticed there were about 15 cars ahead of me in line. The service advisor estimated my car would be done in about 4 hours.
I wasn’t given any updates the whole day. Around 3:30 I began asking for updates and had to call and text for about 15 minutes before getting in contact with anyone at Norm Reeves Toyota. I was finally told my car would be ready at 5pm. Because of this, I was late to picking up my kids from school. Had I been updated throughout the day, I could have made backup arrangements, and it was frustrating with the nearly total lack of communication throughout the day that my service would take 8 full hours instead of 4 hours.
