Zach Lenfesty was great in all respects regarding the service of my Subaru. The entire process was wonderfully handled sta?ting with setting up my appointment, timely reminders by email and phone, politeness, taking me home and picking me up by Joel made the service process so easy. I was considering speaking with Ron the service writer but I didn't have much time when I picked up my car earlier today.
My car was towed in late Sunday night/early am Monday morning after hitting debris on the 5 freeway damaging the right side wheels and tires. I left a voicemail for the service department at that time to make them aware but did not get a call back when your service department opened.
At roughly 9 am in the morning, I called in and was directed to Ron. We discussed my needs and he was helpful. I contacted my insurance company to make a claim but was given incorrect and incomplete info so I did not move forward with it.
Long story short I decided to simply make a "band aid" repair and drive the car on two spare tires and move forward with the TDI buyback process. I purchased and dropped off a 2nd spare with Ron yesterday. When I picked up the car today, both spares were put on the right side of the car. Going down the freeway it drove horribly.
I was taught in my teens that the tires need to match front/rear and considered it to be basic common knowledge but I guess not. I will now need to visit a local shop to have the spares relocated to the back of the car and the left rear (original) tire relocated to the right front.
When I got home after picking up, I was very tempted to call Ron and say that I wanted my money back for the inspection that was performed. Needless to say am very disappointed that I will need to spend additional money to have such a simplistic change made.
I've taken more time away from work to have the wheels/tires correctly oriented on my Jetta sportwagon just now and have discovered another issue.
When I spoke with Ron, we discussed that he would dispose of/recycle the damaged wheels/tires from my car, unfortunately I've discovered that it wasn't done as a damaged wheel/tire was thrown in back of my car where the spare was.
I must now make another trip to a shop that will dispose of/recycle these for me and most likely pay a disposal fee.
I'm now really wondering what I paid your shop $77 dollars to do for me as all aspects of work performed need correction.
I will be calling you to discuss.
