I made an appointment for 8 am and brought my car in for a detail and complimentary multipoint inspection. I asked Jeffrey when the inspection would be done and he mentioned there should be time to do it after the detail. I received a text message from Longo at 11 that the service was being started on my car.
When Jeffrey’s counterpart called me to inform me the car was done I asked about the results of the inspection and he mentioned the car was just done detailing and there wasn’t enough time to do the inspection. I was disappointed to hear the inspection was not taken care of, especially since it appears there was a 3 hour gap between my appointment time and when my car detail was started; that seems like sufficient time to complete the inspection before my car went for detailing.
I hope the Longo service management team will take the opportunity to analyze how operational efficiency can be improved. Longo is not the closest Toyota dealer to me, but I have chosen to service my car with Longo due to its reputation for customer service and on account of my past positive service experiences. If this type of experience continues I will have to go a different Toyota dealer for my maintenance service and future car needs.
