I came in at 5:30am for a scheduled appointment. I was the first in line but, my vehicle was released untill past noon.
I understand that they may have been some issues which caused such a long delay.
Today, I came in at the same time for a follow up and I am still waiting.

My Highlander had the fuel pump replaced under a recall. I was not told at the time that it is recommended to have a half a tank of gas or less when there is work to be done on the fuel pump. The fuel tank was full when the service was preformed. I brought the car back in the very next morning and spent another 4 hours at the dealership waiting for them to inspect the work done on the fuel pump. Everything checked out and I was told the smell should be gone within a day.
It's been three days with the fuel smell still present in the cab of the car and my pregnant wife hasn't been able to drive her car since Monday due to the fuel smell.
I wish I would have been told about the fuel level recommendation before the fuel pump was replaced.
I need to bring it in to have in interior fully detailed to get rid of the fuel smell so my wife can drive her car.
