Jesus Chacara went above and beyond with the service he provided. He kept me in the loop with everything that needed to be done to my car. He even went out if his way to help lower the cost of repairs so that the problem could be fixed under warranty. I am very grateful for his assistance.

I called on Tuesday 03.23 to ensure my faulty TPS was covered under my Toyota Warranty, Brian Ortega, ensured that it was after consulting with management. When I arrived for my appointment on Thursday 03.25, I was given the opposite answer. In fact, Alex stated that he didn’t know if it was covered or not. He didn’t even check for me, but rather said that I needed to go through the $155 diagnostic to see if it is covered. If it is covered, then the $155 will be also covered, if not, then I’ll have to pay the diagnostic along with labor and parts. His direct manager Matthew, assured me this is the way correct route, fine. I went along. Then Matt instructed Alex to look up on the site if my TPS sensor is covered, which he obliged, then gave a diff initial answer, NO it is not covered. All that took was less than 2 minutes to research, instead of giving me the run around on the “uncertainty” of the part and whether it was covered under warranty or not. I told Alex I wanted to leave, to please bring my car around, and to speak with Matt again for this misinformation and lack of research. Matt quickly corrected the course and to ensure the diagnostic and part would be covered IF the damage was not due to negligence or road wear, I agreed. In the end? 1 dead battery in a TPS sensor. The point is the negligence of Alex and not taking 2 minutes to tell me if the part is covered or not, AND the misinformation from Brian in telling me that the part WAS covered. I am satisfied with the results, but still very very upset with the run around and the additional time wasted on this matter which was about 1.5 hours.

It is difficult to get in contact with your parts and service by phone. I called on Tuesday and One of your receptionists answered after no one picked up in Service. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name, because she was very helpful. She went to the service department, got a general estimate for the work I needed, scheduled me for the service, and emailed the service department to call me. In the afternoon I called again and Kevin took a message for me that I would like to be contacted by the service department. Thursday, Laura took a message, after no one picked up in parts or service. I explained to her the service I needed, the distance I would travel, and my desire to assure that all of the necessary parts would be there, and sufficient time to complete the work. She explained that Service works until 7:00, and she wrote down all of the needed parts #s and messaged parts to call me. Shortly thereafter I realized I neglected a part. Billie picked up and relayed the part # to Laura. Parts (Omar) called later in the day, and I was able to be confident the work could be completed. When I came in Friday, Edward was great and took good care of me. It would have been nice to have connected with a service advisor Tuesday and have arranged everything on my initial call. Bottom line: Laura, Billie, Omar, and Edward made my service come together, and I am grateful for their assistance. I must say Longo Toyota is huge, and everyone is busy!
