Alec was a kind, professional, knowledgeable and respectful individual. I don't know if it was specifically his fault for my bad experience but someone dropped the ball. I received a text message at 7:07am saying my car was ready, which was apparently sent by the system and not them. I thought it was rather early to be ready, but I just assumed that perhaps the mechanics maybe got to work before the service station opened, or perhaps they were able to work on it the night before. The manager later explained that there was a mistake with an order number where the employee had to close out an order as he did not know there was already an existing order for my recall- Alec had to take over an existing order from a previous employee. When this employee closed out the order, it sent me an automatic text saying it was ready. I even got a text hours later saying that they appreciate my business. I didn't think to call to ask if it was ready since I got these messages. Not only was my car not ready when I got there, it had not been worked on. This was very frustrating since we drove out of our way to pick up my car only to find out it had not even been worked on and it was already 3 in the afternoon. Also, this was very upsetting as this was the second time this has happened to me- twice in a row at Longo. I bought my car here in 2009 and have had nothing but great experiences. I don't always take my car there since it is out-of-the-way, however, Longo has done most of my services over the last 8 years and I always count on amazing service. This was not the case in my last two visits, but in both instances, each were handled very professionally. I started to lose my cool and that didn't even deter any of their employees. They were kind, professional and very helpful. I wish I got the name of the lady in the service station- she was really great even when I was clearly upset and possibly dropping a curse word or two. No one was answering her page so she walked over to talk to Alec, who then called my phone to apologize. I was so upset I actually hung up on him. She came back and told me that she called over the manager, Paul Leblanc and he was really great too. Presently, I'm assuming my car is ready, I got 2 missed calls from Longo with no messages. I did get a text though saying they appreciate my business and to complete this survey. In the end, the staff at the service station, Paul and Alec, were all professional, helpful, apologetic and solution based. I just feel there should have been better communication. Perhaps they should be mindful of the automatic texts from the computer and follow it up with a phone call or something to not inconvenience their customers.
