I was a little disappointed in my experience this time. I arrived to my appointment at 11:30am. I was told that there was a recall for a part on my 2017 Tacoma and that if my vehicle was affected they would have to fix it. Daniel asked me if I would be waiting for my vehicle at Longo or leaving and I told him that I would be staying...he gave me an estimated pick up time of 4pm but later adjusted it to 2pm which I was gracious for. However, at about 2:20pm i received a phone call stating that my Toyota care maintenance was complete however my vehicle was affected by the recall and that they would have to keep my vehicle overnight as they weren’t able to fix it at the moment. I was also told that Longo would be able to provide me a rental vehicle however I would have to cover the insurance (which I don’t agree with since I was affected by the recall). I decided not to go with the rental vehicle due to that reason. The reason I’m not satisfied is that I had to wait 3 hours for a representive to tell me that AFTER my routine mainetence they discovered the faulty part. I believe a more efficient and time saving method for all parties would have been to check to see if my vehicle was affected by the recall first and if it was to notify me that my car would have to be serviced overnight instead of doing the maintenance then discovering the faulty part and notifying me after I’ve already waiting for 3 hours. Had the faulty part been checked first, I would have just went home and not wasted 3 hours at Longo to be told it needed to be serviced overnight. Hopefully things could be a little more efficient in the future.
