Tim did an exceptional job of keeping me in the loop about what they were doing in troubleshooting my new vehicle. Having my new vehicle with about 4700 miles on it towed to a dealership was not an enjoyable experience. We had to rent a vehicle to get home to Iowa where we live. The problem started in the parts department and unfortunately Alex did not double check when I asked him too. Unfortunately that was because another service agent told him it was the right part. It was not. From my first phone call to multiple follow ups I stated I wanted a 1 1/4 inch tow receiver. They still ordered a two inch and installed it. In the upside Alex honored the Hyundai internet hitch purchase with install price. This was because no one advised me of the install cost. Alex was not the problem. It was the parties prior to the him.

The vehicle went completely dead for no reason. Upon getting it started, my husband took it for a drive after having it running in the driveway for a bit. The vehicle started shifting sporadic and reving high. The vehicle also would not go into reverse. I got a text message saying nothing was wrong with it and to come pick it up 45 min prior to close, we live in Illinois. We did not understand how nothing could be wrong with the vehicle given the issues that we had. We should not have theses issues at all given that it is still rather new. I texted back asking for a call, no call was given. We also made several calls and left messages with the service department. None were answered or returned. There should be better communication than a simple text message when our 2024 will not shift properly or go into gear. This experience is unacceptable. According to the check in report and the mileage on my hyundai app, the car was driven 1 mile in the time it has been at your shop. I frequently drive this car for work due to the high gas prices and this one getting better gas mileage than our other vehicle. I require a reliable vehicle given the neighborhoods that I travel for work and cannot be stuck with no reverse. The problem needs to be found , fixed and we need to be provided with a car while this is happening. We have since researched this and found that the problems we have experienced with the car are a know issue. Please resolve this. A call to my husband on how this will be resolved will be appreciated since I will be working tomorrow and may not be available. ****-****-xxxx
