Overall my service was good and staff is always friendly but a few suggestions based on my day at the shop. 1.) I scheduled my appointment online and no idea I picked the option of drop off vehicle. That must have been the default selection which isn’t great for users because I had no idea that was a thing. It should be a required question and by default left blank so we have to pick from the option list and realize what we are choosing. Thankfully I got squeezed in and didn’t have to stay till 5pm but wasn’t pleased when I checked in at 830. Still waited 2.5 hours for a tire rotation. That brings me to 2.) why wouldn’t my oil change and tire rotation be aligned on services? The sticker in my windshield has always been the mileage for an oil change. So when I got close to that number, and my car says maintenance required, I scheduled an oil change and tire rotation. Come to find out today my sticker is marked every 5K miles and switches off between oil change and tire rotation. That is so inconvenient for me to come in every 5K miles when you could do both services at the same time every 10K miles. I work in an office 4-5 days a week so getting service twice the amount of time that’s needed isn’t convenient for most people’s schedule. Again, I love my Toyota and smart Toyota has always had the best workers. Just some things could be improved.

Jesse was great and kept me informed while my vehicle was being fixed/repaired. As of now, it appears as though this 2nd round of bringing it in… It has been repaired correctly this time. A major issue that I have since picking my car up… My drivers seat now makes a creaking noise any time I lean forward, backward, etc. it’s almost like someone larger than myself either tried to squeeze in there without moving the seat back & damaged the backrest or I have no fricking clue how they could have done it. All I know is… The car is less than 3 years old and it NEVER made that noise prior to bringing it in. Now, anytime I lean forward at a stop sign to look for traffic, when I get in and out, anytime I adjust within the seat, etc… CREAKING!!! :( It’s very unfortunate that my car came back with an issue that definitely was NOT an issue when I dropped it off for repairs. To me… That just doesn’t seem acceptable!!! I was originally going to let it go, but the noise is driving me insane and the more I hear it, the more upset I get. It feels like a total lack of care & respect for myself AND the car that I worked really hard to save up for & purchase.

I received a pretty lackluster greeting upon my arrival. The paperwork was incorrect upon completion of the recall. My address, phone and email were incorrect in your system and had to be corrected (home phone is still incorrect.) I was told that the dealership is still struggling with these “glitches & inconsistencies” after the DMS was changed over two years ago. Not the same dealership I was used to…disappointing.

Extremely satisfied with the entire team at Smart Toyota and Paul answered all my questions and we were going to have severe storms and I had asked Paul if he would put my vehicle inside for the night since we live a distance from the dealership. He didn’t hesitate and said the dealership opened at 7 and I could pick it up anytime. Now that’s service and that’s why we drove a long distance to purchase a new vehicle from Smart Toyota - thank you

Made appointment to address broken taillight but Mallory attempted to have me leave the shop with a vehicle not safe or possibly legal to make a future appointment at a body shop. Eventually apologized after an apparent manager Nate helped me get rolling with the appointment I showed up for. Said “that’s what I was told”. Also didn’t like her attitude and non verbal cues of eye rolling, huffing impatiently. Had trouble splitting the bill, getting help with documents for insurance, because Smart Toyota shirked any potential involvement in helping with that. Unclear communication over text. Errors on an apparent broken license plate light. Pressure to drive vehicle during another Tornado Watch/warning with hail to exchange loaner with my vehicle at the end of day Friday. Disregarded the policy the loaner department gave me. This was an unpleasant experience overall but I’m glad the repairs were apparently made correctly in the end and that the vehicle exchange and bill pay happened without incident today when she wasn’t there.
