I called earlier this morning to complain about how irritated I am that the main reason I made the appointment was to have my door panel replaced and it didn't happen! That was a 6 hour round trip for me and i wasnt planning on coming back until my 30,000 mile service is due! I did not realize that I had to make sure that everything I had asked for when I made the appointment was in the computer like we had discussed and it actually took a really long time to make the appointment...I was put on hold at least 5 times and Service desk connected me to Parts Dept to find out if my part was in and then back to service to tell him yes my part is in let's make an appointment and also take care of a recall and clean out hood if needed. Somehow replacing the door panel got lost from the order I don't know?! And I don't understand why!?! Also took almost double the time he told me it would take so I just jumped in and went to Costco and it was late by the time I was done and noticed that it wasn't done!
Maybe we should not have bought a vehicle from a dealership that is so far away...this is the 2nd time something weird like this has happened to me

Brought the car in on Tuesday. They held it til Friday with no call's about progress. I called Friday they said they couldn’t find anything wrong with the car. I asked the service tech to take a ride with me and they did. The noise from the bottom of the car was the first thing we heard. Josh told me to wait til it gets worse to bring it in. Complete waste of time.

I live 3 hours away. I scheduled my VW for 60k service 2 weeks ago. About an hour into my service (I was quoted about 2 hours which was totally fine), I’m informed that the dealership doesn’t have ANY of the OEM parts necessary for my 60k service. I wasted an entire day driving to and from Billings to discover the dealership didn’t have the parts needed for service. I implore you to be more proactive about what is included in each regular service and ensure you have those parts in stock. And if you don’t, call your customers before they drive 6 hours and waste over $30 in gas (not to mention the value of my time).
A positive from my experience: the exterior of my car was very dirty when I arrived and it was handed over sparkling clean.
