It was challenging for me with miscommunications and at little communication. Not blaming Nick for all the issues but I felt like I had to call in my own support team to help me understand what was happening to my car, my options and the costs involved.
Carlson seems way too busy to handle the metro business and volume your service center is receiving. I have never experienced these problems at St Cloud Toyota.

This is the first time I’ve been to Carlson Toyota. I had a great experience, from the moment I pulled in at the service center. I was greeted right away and Nick informed me that they would check out my car and do a full inspection. He kept me updated through text messages and have a plan for repairs. When I picked up my car, I was greeted again and everyone was very helpful and pleasant.

While Scott was pleasant and friendly to speak with, he was poor at communication. On multiple occasions, I (and my spouse) had to call and seek out info about the status of our car. We did not receive a call back on a few occasions. At one point, we were told (on Wednesday) that my car would be ready on Thursday; Thursday came around and we did not receive a single phone call with an update or to say the car was ready. We had called multiple times on Thursday and couldn’t get ahold of anyone until someone called after service hours were over (someone not even from the service department) to say that they didn’t even know a car was still there but that he found it and it was ready, but advised to pick up the next morning. Then, when I checked in at the service desk and gave my last name, there was no record of my car being there, so I was told to speak to one of the service advisors. We found this experience to be very displeasing, inconvenient, and negative. I work a job where I have to drive, so it was very concerning that there was no sense of urgency or priority to get my car finished. We ultimately felt like servicing our car was an afterthought.

Was looking to turn on/off some dealership only customization settings for my car but no one seemed to know how to help with those, I even included that info on the comments for booking the appointment but that seemed to have been neglected and ignored with nobody having an idea of what to do. I was somehow directed to the sales team to help with that but of course, understand the sales team could not help with those settings (unsure why I would be directed there in the first place). Was told to make another appointment to come back for those customizable options but the person telling me to make an appointment was very discouraging and didn’t seem to want to help. He implied that nobody in the service team will have time to even do those customization options for me and that I need to tell him exactly every single settings I wanted done. Lastly, the whole appointment seemed rushed from beginning to end, where I didn’t have time to address any issues concerning to me about my car for its 5k mile check up. Anytime I bring up anything to address, it was brushed off and everyone seemed like they don’t have time to do anything else for my car other than the tire rotation and inspection — what’s the point of allowing me to leave comments to address my concerns/inquiries when I was making the appointment if no one is willing to even have a slight interest in it.
