It is interesting that my truck is suddenly damaged (tailgate hitting bumper) when the spacing has been perfect for 2 years. The answer I received that it’s been that way for awhile doesn’t hold water as we’re in Minnesota and that bare metal would have rust which it doesn’t. It’s also curious that the walk around videos, which I asked for were no longer available. I saw the service advisor take the videos but they’re not available for my last two visits, which I’m confident would show the damage happened at the dealership. If I had to guess they jacked up the rear of my vehicle using the tow hitch or with a jack under the hitch and the bumper and the hitch share the same frame rail mounts which pushed the bumper up making the tailgate rub. Of course Carlson Toyota won’t own they caused the problem and don’t have the videos that would show the damage happened at the dealer.

I dropped my vehicle off on Monday 3/24 and wasn't able to pick it up until today Wednesday 3/26, all to be charged for an inspection and an oil change. All day Monday I was expecting a update on my vehicle and never got the call. Tuesday the afternoon i finally got the notice that my vehicle was ready for pickup. My frustration lies in the fact I had to scramble to find an alternative form of transportation to get to my job for those 2 days my vehicle was in the shop. I understand Mondays are busy, but there needs to be better communication between customers and the technicians.
