Was made aware of a technician putting transmission fluid into the oil reservoir of a ‘red Honda Pilot’ 30 minutes after my fiance left the dealership with her red Pilot and was told that my fiance needed to immediately pull over and check her dip stick. As she is pulling the scorching dip stick out of her engine we receive a text saying it was actually for a Ridgeline and not a Pilot and that it was just a false alarm. I did not appreciate the anxiety this immediately caused as this vehicle has already had numerous problems shortly following our purchase. This does not provide confidence in the service department’s ability to do their job and frankly makes me never want to return. There has been a lack of thoroughness that is evident in ‘missed’ issues that should have been addressed with several vehicles intake inspections including my own. Hearing this happened and it took over 30 minutes to have it even brought to our attention is very upsetting. What would have been done if this caused serious damage?
