Shauna kept me informed of the results of the car inspection promptly. Shauna was thorough in explaining the results and was very pleasant in her interactions with me in completing the service on my car.

I brought my vehicle to Leta on May 30th for an oil change, tire rotation, and oil filter housing gasket replacement. My service advisor was Randy Gibson. The visit included a "Comprehensive" multipoint inspection performed by technician Nicholas Sharp, who noted my rear brake pads at 8mm (left) and 7mm (right). Everything appeared fine at the time. One week later, on June 6th, I began hearing a grinding/scratching noise from the passenger side. During the follow-up inspection, technician Mason Doogan measured the rear brake pads at just 4mm (left) and 0mm (right). Service advisor Belle Maxwell informed me that the noise was caused by a seized caliper and provided a quote of $3,700 to replace the front pads and rotors, rear pads and rotors, and both rear calipers (RO# 592652). I am struggling to understand how my rear brake pads could lose 7–8mm of material in only seven days of normal driving. It seems physically impossible for that level of wear to occur in such a short time. This raises serious doubts about whether the initial multipoint inspection on May 30th was actually performed, or if the box was simply checked without a proper inspection. The pricing on this quote is also highly inflated. You are charging $444 for 2 rotors and $1,172 for 2 calipers. These are the same brake components used on base model Civics going back to 2006. According to Leta’s own parts department website, the same rotor costs $128 and the same caliper costs $388. The labor times are also inflated (1.8 hours for rear pads, 0.2 hours for rotors, and 2.2 hours for calipers) — roughly double what the job should reasonably take. I (and my family) have been loyal customers of Leta for years. Unfortunately, this experience has completely eroded my trust in their inspection process and pricing practices. I will no longer be bringing my vehicle here for service.

Bell was very good. Now I will say that plastic was left on my seats and the number tag was left on my rearview mirror, also the floor paper all messed up and wrinkled, was left on the passenger side. They mechanic, I am assuming was driving my car a little erratic after service. I was watching him through the big windows from the waiting room.

The servce person Danielle was helpful and understanding, but that’s where anything that was good dealing with anyone ended. It took 4 days to get to the bottom of the extended warranty coverage that I purchased through Frank Leta, to get denied. Which the part denied makes no sense, but the other issue is that we bought the car in Oc, and it has less than 5,000 miles driven some we bought it. So why didn’t Frank Leta offer to help in anyway? I also had to pay $254.00 just to get denied. It’s horrible that you get treated that way. I am thinking about posting on social media about the horrible situation. I also had to back to the dealership to updated emissions inspection, because the inspection they gave me, expired 2 days after I bought the car. So wasted time at the DOR and again back at Frank Leta to get a new emissions inspection.
