I presented a VALID coupon for $18.88 discount off oil change from Kearny Mesa Toyota PRIOR TO write up of $71.56 for oil change. I was told no - that’s from another dealership. I said you HONOR any local Toyota Dealers specials or prices using genuine Toyota Factory parts. AFTER my oil change was done, he said he couldn’t honor it because IT IS AN ODD AMOUNT AND THE SYSTEM WONT TAKE IT. He very reluctantly gave me the 100K mile club discount instead.
My oil change should have been $71.56 - $18.88 = $52.68. He charged me $61.82 instead. For the extra $9.14 paid I should be compensated with a refund OR a key fob battery to replace my dying key fob battery. Please make this right. I’ve been a customer for many years & little things like this NEGATIVELY affect customer relations.
