Q did not respond to any of my calls or texts. He estimated that my service (an oil change and tire rotation) would take 2h, and it ended up taking 5.5h. And then, the shuttle took 1.5h to get me after my car was ready. Of course the timing is not his fault, however he should have provided updates after the 2h mark (his origin estimate) and then an additional update to let me know the shuttle was running late. When I was picked up by the shuttle driver, the driver told me it’s been a slow day. WHAT???? Why isn't Q answering his phone or text messages? When I finally arrived to pick up my car, he was gone and had left for the day. I felt stranded! The least he could have done is let me know that he was going to leave for the day and give me a contact of someone who would take over my case. This experience was so strikingly different from my last time (with a different service provider) at Norm Reeves. I will definitely not be requesting Q next time.

I feel was completely and deliberately misled into believing that the diagnostic service would encompass inspecting the entire vehicle rather than just one system, and I found this highly unethical and legally actionable behaviour. I had specifically asked for all the car’s systems to be checked in addition to the illuminated “Brake” and “ABS Brake” lights, in order for me to be reassured that everything was running safely, and the response I was given was a vague “Yes, we’ll take a look,” which I took to mean was “Yes, we’ll take a look at all the car’s systems in addition to the illuminated “Brake” and “ABS Brake” lights,” but which actually meant “Yes, we’ll take a look at only the illuminated “Brake” and “ABS Brake” lights and do a cursory “multipoint” inspection. If I had known that the $199.95 diagnostic service would cover only the illuminated “Brake” and “ABS Brake” warning lights and a cursory multipoint inspection, I would have declined the service. To add insult to injury, I was not told at the time I brought in the car that the $199.95 cannot be used toward any service work, not even the repair for the one system that the diagnostic service examined. That, too, was opposite to what I had expected, based on my previous service experience at this Service Department. I am appalled and angry that not only did the dealership change its policies regarding diagnostic services from what they were in 2021, but that no one in the Service Department had the decency and honesty to disclose this to me before I had signed my approval for the Service Department to conduct the diagnostic service and thus given my commitment to pay for said diagnostic service.

I ask for Mobile 1 5W 30 synthetic oil for my oil change but what I got was the regular 5W 30 oil. I told him that the oil they change it with was not the synthetic one. He proceeded to argue with me about it. I've been getting my vehicle serviced there for a long time and this is the first time that this has happened. I know how hard the mechanics work there and I appreciate it. I know how it feels working in the mechanical field. I just didn't like the way I was treated for my concerns. Just see how you feel if you were in my shoes.
