Our car was misdiagnosed the first time. AAA noticed it was something more than the battery and to see a mechanic. When our car was diagnosed at Honda they said it was only the battery and they had checked the alternator. We had a number of other issues too but that was the most pressing one with the car to keep it running so we based our decisions on what to fix and how much to spend fixing it on the diagnostic given on the car. We budgeted on that so we could keep it running and save enough to keep for the down payment of a new car.
The very next day driving it the battery light pops up with the exact same issues and the alternator was the cause. I understand mistakes happen but this mistake would cost an extra $900+ we could no longer afford to sink into the car and we had essentially wasted all the money from the previous day. I just wish you could work a little more with people on prices when there was a mistake involved.
