Steven C. Nelams told me three (3) statements that were not true:
(1) The 1st statement he said to me before checking to see if my truck was covered by a warranty is that, "It's going to cost you $95 for us to even look at your truck."
(2) Steven then said after I told him what the issue I am having with it is, "A lift kit will void all warranties for your truck."
(3) He automatically assumed that the problem was the lift kit prior to investigation and stated that.
The issue with my truck is a bushing that has worn for the driver's side spine axel shaft as verified by two (2) independent mechanics. This is a Toyota part unrelated to the lift kit. Technician number 243 also missed this as he was biased towards not being able to upcharge customers due to an existing manufacturer's warranty as I have less than 28,000 miles on my vehicle.
This systemic dishonesty is probably due to directives from the top of the managerial organization.
I will not be returning to Hampton Toyota.
