This has nothing to do with my service advisor. He was just doing his job and passing along your ridiculous price quote for additional service that needed to be done on my car. I wanted to support your service department because I value taking my car to the dealer. I realize I’m going to pay more for an oil change vs taking it to a local shop, but was okay with that because I thought I could count on the quality of work. I had actually planned on having additional service done until I got the estimate for brakes and rotors on the front and back, which was $2,100, and tie rods on the front end for $1,100. I priced out the parts using your parts department and was shocked to find out that the work on the car would consist of ~$2,500 in labor. The work you quoted me is 3x more than 3 other quotes I’ve gotten from reputable mechanics. I even supplied your quote to them and they commented on how ridiculous this was. I will be sharing my experience, along with your price quote on the Next Door app, which is circulated to my neighbors in Menlo Park, Palo Alto and Redwood City. I would encourage you to be more open and transparent about your pricing in future.
