My experience at Kia Covina has been extremely disappointing.
I dropped off my vehicle on February 2, 2026 due to multiple ongoing issues. I even provided screenshots documenting the problems. However, after keeping my car for nine days, the only service completed was an oil change.
I was informed that I needed a new battery. Concerned, I sought a second opinion and was told that the alternator was actually draining the battery — not that the battery itself was defective.
When I called back, I spoke with Michael, who stated that AAA’s diagnostic machines are faulty. I was honestly shocked by that response. I then requested that the Service Manager, Oscare, contact me directly.
During the nine days my vehicle was in your possession, I left approximately six voicemails and received no return calls. The AI answering system and text system are ineffective, as I never received a response through either method.
Additionally, I asked Emilio on February 6, 2026 to have the Service Manager call me. That call never came.
I am now driving a vehicle that I do not feel confident in. I am genuinely concerned it may stall or fail to start. A simple test using a spare battery at the dealership could have helped confirm whether the issue was resolved, but that was never done.
I have filed a complaint with corporate and am still waiting for the Service Manager to contact me.
This level of communication and service is unacceptable. I am requesting immediate follow-up regarding this matter.

Thank you for your text. I am writing to you to extend my immense gratitude toward Emilio Quinonez 'recent display of excellent customer service. His patience and professionalism truly stand out. As I mentioned to Emilio, this is my first visit to your dealership. I bought the car for my wife at the Alhambra Kia dealership. During a time when good customer service is often a rarity, you've reinstated my faith. It's not always that one comes across customer service as proficient and swift as Emilio provided. Please thank him for a job well done. You can be assured that I will return for many more services to come as long as there are service advisors like Emilio in the company. I look forward to your text when the parts arrive.

Emilio assisted us on February 6, 2025.
We received a notification from Covina Kia at 1:30 PM that our vehicle was ready for pickup. We arrived around 3:30 PM that Friday afternoon. Emilio provided us with the paperwork and told us the car would be brought out shortly.
Since my children had sports activities later that day, I drove separately in our Lexus and left shortly after saying goodbye to my husband, expecting the pickup process to be quick and smooth.
However, at 4:30 PM, I received a call from my husband saying he still had not received our KIA. This was very frustrating, especially since we had been told the car would be ready “shortly.” Waiting an additional hour was unreasonable, and there was no communication explaining the delay. My husband also mentioned that Emilio left shortly after giving us the paperwork and did not ensure that the vehicle was actually brought up.
Overall, the experience was very unpleasant. The lack of follow-through and communication resulted in unnecessary frustration and a significant waste of our time.

Your Kia dealership always fails me. I cant imagine how you stay in business. Customer service is horrible, repairs are disappointing and there is no leadership.
