Thank you for reaching out and asking for my feedback. Frankly, I don’t like that your service department doesn’t reduce the total bill by the cost of the diagnostic fee even when the client decides to get the work done at your shop. Also, I don’t like that your team doesn’t seem to be very proactive in informing the client of current specials your service department is running or that you offer a 10% discount for the military. I come into the dealership often from work, with my Veterans Service Commission shirt or bomber jacket, and I’ve even inquired about whether you have veteran employees on staff. No one has ever offered me a discount. I’ve only received the military discount a couple of times, and both times I had to ask for it.
Lastly, I was disappointed about the recommended repairs involving my suspension. Your shop recommended that I have the left inner and right inner CV boot replaced due to seepage. I sought two quotes after leaving your shop today and was told by both garages that they recommended that I replace the axle vs repair the boots for two reasons. Firstly, I would save on labor hours and secondly it would be a more thorough and safe remedy to the problem as a seeping boot would undoubtedly leave remnants of grease. I also found numerous customers saying the same thing online. So I was left wondering, while I’m sure your technicians were correct and the boot is leaking and in need of repair, did they suggest the best option for me, financially and with my safety in mind? Or was the decision to replace two boots a better move for the profit margin? I hesitate to tell you this because I don’t want to slam anyone or get anyone into trouble. However, I must admit that of the three Lexus service shops I’ve visited (Brook Park, Akron, and Willoughby Hills), I favor your location least. It’s not everyone. The gentleman that drive the cars are great, your secretaries and everyone that answers the phones are amazing and I especially enjoyed the customer service and personal engagement in your parts department. Jeff in your service department is a great asset to your team as well. I’m sure it doesn’t make much difference to your bottom line as I’m just one customer but I don’t plan to have my vehicle serviced at your location anymore.
