I didn’t get his name, but the older guy that greeted me when I drove into the service bay was awesome. I’ve been there a few times over the last couple years and every time he’s been great, smiling, and personable. As the first interaction of the day he really set a positive tone. Whatever you’re paying him, double it!

Nothing wrong with the rep that helped me, and I think the recall situation was handled appropriately. Just mind boggled how much the driver seat was moved for such a short time in the shop. And thought they’d replace the fob back on to the rest of my keys before handing over the vehicle. A friend has had similar issues regarding the seat movement when going to have maintenance done to her car at this facility. Nothing critical, and perhaps more “first world problem”, but the seat was moved both down and backwards excessively. I’m 5’6”, it shouldn’t have needed that much of an adjustment when they’re just taking it for a 30 second drive.

I was very happy with almost everything. Friendliness, thoroughness, honesty, efficient. The dashboard and displays were off, tho, which i noticed as I drove off. . And I’m not technical. Someone came out and reset the main display, and then I managed to reset the clock when I noticed that.. Maybe a small thing but it would be nice to not have to stress out over that stuff.

The service was supposed to take 2 hours. After 3.5 hours I went to check on my car. From the look on service guides face he did not realize I was in waiting room. I think the truck had been done for awhile but I never received a text. Then he said he would pull the car around. 20 minutes later no car. The original guy was gone. I went back out and was asked by someone if I was waiting for car. I said yes and noticed my keys were still there. They finally went and I got my car and received 5 minutes later. By the way I was one of two people left at closing time. Not impressed.

My experience today felt very much like staff was rushed and not thorough in evaluating needs nor following up. I purchased my Tacoma new in 2008 (from Pedersen) and have done all the service since that time with Pedersen. I appreciate that Pedersen is the major player in the area and serviced a lot of customers, but felt like a commodity shop today. Maybe because the internet was out this morning? Hard time scheduling a pick up to get my vehicle after calling earlier in the day to confirm the most effective way to go about that. I’d say the recap on my service and documentation was as dismissive as I’ve seen in the last 17 yrs.

Didn’t have to wait to receive service. Completed as scheduled do extra time. Clean waiting room with everything to enjoy the waiting, except no cold beer. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.
