Tuscaloosa Toyota Auto Repair Service

The technician was very efficient and courteous. I had absolutely no problem with him. I would recommend him to anyone needing service. However, I made an appointment for the recall on something to do with the front bumper. When they made the appointment I was told parts were ordered and would be there by the time I had my appointment. The parts did not come in and I will have to make another trip to get that fixed. I live 2 hours from Tuscaloosa and this is very inconvenient for me yo make another trip. This is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed in the dealership but I’m really not happy about making another trip.

Regarding my 08-28-2024 service visit: the technician tested my vehicle’s battery & recommended an “immediate” replacement of the battery because of an unidentified code the computer (or tester) produced. Because the battery is a 72 month battery (which was installed as a replacement of the original battery in December 2021), I declined the replacement (knowing the battery was still under full warranty). I had the battery tested at that location & their tester indicated zero problems (CCA & voltage were at the expected levels). I also had it tested at another location which also indicated zero issues with either the battery or the alternator. As of yesterday, I have never had a reason to believe Tuscaloosa Toyota was trying to trick me into buying something I don’t need, but because of yesterday, I’m very concerned that my trust is being tried by your dealership. I am not indicating that Chuck (my service advisor) was trying to mislead me. Neither am I accusing the technician (Tommie Robinson) of any attempt to mislead me. This could have simply been an issue with the testing instrument (things happen). The report I was given shows a picture of a tester but the image is so small that no information can be gained to either support or contradict the claim of a problem. I will say this, if I ever have reason to believe Tuscaloosa Toyota is being anything other than honest with me, I will be forced to find another operation to perform my vehicle service needs &, should I need a vehicle in the future, purchase that vehicle elsewhere.

This is the second time I bring my car in for the same issue and still it’s bot fixed. If Toyota dealership couldn’t fix it where else should I put my car? I brought on Monday cause it’s pulling to the right and paid 120$ for wheel alignment and it wasn’t fixed I brought it back again this morning after 2 hours of work it started pulling to the left not the right. Very bad experience and paid 120$ for nothing.
