Daniel is a really nice guy and very professional. He clearly has a hard job, Ioniq 5's were being towed into the service center while I was there and there were a lot of unhappy people (of course, not Danny's fault at all). He was juggling a lot and stayed calm and gracious. Our previous services in San Bruno have been appalling experiences and this was our last chance for the service department. We have a lease car and, while we love the car, we were thinking about getting rid of it because the services are so hard. So, now we are reconsidering. You do need more staff here and more mechanics, the people who actually do the service. It would be nice if you had loaner cars when the service takes all day. But, none of that is Danny's fault. He did keep me up-to-date on what was happening with the car, which didn't happen before, in fact on previous services we could never get anyone on the telephone. There was one outstanding problem that was supposed to be fixed on the first service but never was as we were never notified if the part came in or if we should bring the car down. We tried calling multiple times but could never get through on the phone. So, we'll see how that part goes. Danny explained everything that was going on with the car and all that had been done very clearly. So...keep up the good work of improving this service center. Thank you, Rose

Oil change was quick, appreciate the multi point inspection. Windshield could’ve been cleaned better as there were streaks and glare during the nighttime. Overall was a pleasant experience.

My dissatisfaction with the customer service I received from Mr. Daniel during my visit to San Bruno Hyundai on June 16 2025, for a scheduled safety recall on my Tucson. Despite arriving on time, I waited an hour before being helped. When I explained I was there for a recall, Mr. Daniel attempted to upsell additional services. After I declined, he responded with @Then, why are tou here today for?” and followed up with, “Oh.. for the free stuff,”, which I found disrespectful and unprofessional. Then he asked if I had received a call confirming that the recall part was ready. I explained to him that when I booked the appointment, I I informed the receptionist that the visit was for a recall and she confirmed the availability and scheduled the appointment accordingly. At no point was I told to wait for a confirmation call regarding the part. Mr. Daniel then stated that the receptionist and the parts department are not connected and suggested that the car might need to be kept overnight. He said he would contact me by the end of the day with an update, but he didn’t. Thus, I left him a VM to contact me the next day. On the following day, after 1:00 pm. I still hadn’t received any response. I called again and spoke with the receptionist who told me the recall had been done but wasn’t sure if Mr. Daniel had additional information for me. She transferred me to his voicemail, where I left a second message. Still, I received no response. Around 3:30 pm, after yet another attempt to get a status update, the receptionist again tried to transfer me to Mr. Daniel’s voicemail. At that point, extremely frustrated, I asked to speak with a supervisor. Thankfully, the supervisor was very helpful and promptly informed me that my car was ready to pickup. This entire experience left me feeling ignored, disrespected, and, frankly, punished for declining additional service offers. I believe Mr. Daniel’s attitude and lack of communication were unprofessional and inappropriate, especially in the context of a safety recall - a matter of customer safety, not optional service. I am reluctant to return to San Bruno Hyundai for any future services due to this unpleasant experience.

Awesome customer service from start. Advised me someone will call when the replacement part arrived on site. Someone did call. Her name is MaryAna. MaryAna scheduled me date and time to bring my car. It was followed by Christina s few days later to ensure I am keeping the schedule. Overall, these 3 individuals provided great customer service for my car. I’m now positively sure my car will be in good hands.

Service from Lawrence Lee was not great. I came to get an estimate on what it would cost to repair damaged items in my interior. My car also received routine maintenance while I was there. When I came to pick up my car, Lawrence told me he would reach out to me later that day with an estimate. I did not hear from him that day. I called him the next day, and couldn’t leave a voicemail because his mailbox was full. I called the main service line, and told the representative I spoke with to have him call me and informed her that his mailbox was full. I did not hear from him that day either. I called the day after that (his mailbox was still full) and left a message with another representative for him to call me back. He finally called back later that day, and I had to remind him that he was supposed to reach out to me 2 days prior. He then emailed me an estimate which was just a screenshot of his computer screen, not a formal quote. I also informed him that his mailbox was still full, and he said he would get around to clearing it out, but he didn’t seem too concerned, nor did he acknowledge or apologize for any inconvenience in general over the 3-day span. Overall, the experience felt very rushed and not thorough. I had to continue to pry & ask questions to get answers, instead of just receiving adequate service. I’ve only had 1 other experience at this Service Center and that also wasn’t great. My impression is that the service center does not have enough staff to meet the demand, and as a result the representatives have to rush customers through the process.

The results of my regular maintenance appt said I needed to replace my carbon filter asap. When I asked if we could do this today, she sighed like I was troubling her and told me just to come back sometime during the week. I live 30 minutes away and am on crutches so it just seems inconvenient that they couldn’t complete this today

My rep was great. The service was completed successfully in a timely manner. The complementary Lyft was prompt. My only complaint was waiting 30 minutes to talk to someone. I was at my appointment at the exact time.

Danny Ladue is not only the best person I have interacted with at any car company, he is one of my favorite people I have interacted with at any business! He was incredibly good and efficient with his job, gave excellent and well reasoned recs on the extra services to pay for (I accepted all of them), and his personality was a delight (he was truly kind, warm, and even made me laugh on many occasions!). Not only was the servicing of the car an incredible experience, I am actively looking forward to the next one! Excellent above and beyond servicing experience!
