wanted to share feedback about my recent service experience, which unfortunately was very disappointing.
When I first brought my car in, no one informed me ahead of time that I wouldn’t be able to leave the vehicle that day. I live about 15 minutes away, so I made the round trip only to be told they couldn’t take my car.
On my second visit to drop off my car for the paint warranty work, I explained that I had multiple areas of concern, especially the bumpers that began peeling over two years ago. My husband and I had even tried to fix them ourselves before the warranty. When I asked if the bumpers would be included in the repair, my question was ignored and I never received an explanation.
I also asked about a loaner car and was told there were none available but that I would be contacted if one came up. I followed up several days later and was told it would be four weeks before a car would be available. I was then offered a $50 rental credit through Enterprise, but no cars were available at that rate. I was directed to Hyundai’s main customer service line, which was time-consuming and frustrating.
Before I could sort out the rental, the paint shop called to say my car was ready — even though I never received any notice from Hyundai. When I arrived, I waited over two hours for my car (after being told it would be ready in 45 minutes). The vehicle was returned dirty, and I was told it couldn’t be washed for eight days. That would’ve been helpful to know in advance, as I had driven over an hour to pick it up.
Finally, I received no paperwork or summary of the work performed when I picked up my car. Later, when I called Hyundai headquarters, I learned that my car was actually under a safety recall for the seatbelts and was not safe to drive. I should not have been allowed to take it off the lot in that condition.
I do want to acknowledge that the service team helped arrange Ubers for me during the second visit, which I appreciated. However, overall communication, organization, and follow-up throughout this process were severely lacking.
I hope you will take this feedback seriously so future customers have a smoother experience.
Service scheduler Sherry didn’t seem to understand that I had to bring the car because the battery died twice over the weekend, so this was not a regular maintenance service but an urgent repair. She said the next appointment was in a few weeks and didn’t seem to empathize. However, once in the hands of Oscar everything went super smoothly and the battery was promptly repaired, so I could get back to my life. This is our only car to pick up and drop off kids at school, and we really appreciated Oscar’s excellent service. This could have easily been a nightmare and Oscar helped avoid that. Thank you!

By being deceptive on the replacement car policy oscar wasted both hyundai and our time making the overall experience involve more people time on both ends.

Hyundai has no available loaners today. Checking into that but you can pick one up to be reimbursed from enterprise.
