I made an appointment for 8 AM and arrived on time and the representative was friendly pleasant and told me the car would be completed between 12 and 1 PM. It was almost 2 o’clock and I had not heard anything so I called the dealership and then was put on hold for 20 minutes. Kathleen told me that there was a back up and it would not be ready until 4 PM. At 3 PM Taz text me and said she would let me know when the car was ready and then at 3:30. She let me know I could come pick it up. I also received a phone call from Catherine when I asked why it took double the time I was just told there was a backup and the power went out for a short time. Also, Catherine wasn’t sure the details but said it was possible that they could’ve been shortstaffed. The cost was more expensive than if I had done it at a local mechanic even though I did get $100 off with a coupon.

John was great. No issued there. I asked your service people to look at my engine shield which it was determined needed to be replaced. Your price was exorbitant, so I purchased the part and had it done elsewhere. When I left your establishment to drive to Seminary Ave, the shield was scraping the entire way on the freeway, and I can assure you that was not the case when I drove into Honda of Oakland. I find this to be reckless and dangerous on your part.

I was given an estimate of 2 hours for my service. I asked if there was a chance of it going longer because we had a commitment shortly after that window. I was told it should only take 2 hours or less, and they’d let the service people know that me and my 9-year-old daughter would be waiting. At 2 hours, I hadn’t heard anything so I went and asked about a revised estimate. The service manager came back with “10-15 minutes” so we went to the waiting room again. At 20 minutes, I was notified my car was ready. I do not mind that things took longer, I just wish I had been given updates along the way, and that the estimate had been closer to reality. I would have made different choices about timing and services had I known there was a risk that we’d be late to our next thing (which we were). Otherwise everything was great.

Victor is one of the kindest associates I’ve ever met. I had a crappy morning when I stepped in and his gentle voice instantly made me feel better. He was very knowledgeable about cars and explained my options as well as his personal recommendations. Idk how but he was able to quote me from his mind and it turned out to be exactly how much he said it was going to cost, and I was also happy that the car was ready exactly around the time when he estimated it would be ready. Overall above and beyond 5-star experience.

When you make an appointment to take your car in and you take it in on that time. They should be working on it on that time. Honda, of Oakland don't do that. Honda, of Oakland told me that they'll be done in 2 hours. I did not want to wait 2 hours. So\n They schedule me a shuttle to take me home. I waited 35 minutes for a shuttle to take me home. And my car was still in the same place. Where I left it. And I told myself they're not going to be done in 2 hours. It took them 5 hours to change my oil and rotate my tires. That is way too long for them to do that. I\n Will take my business somewhere else.

Great service from Tommy as is typical. He explained to me the service items I needed clearly and answered all of my questions. My vehicle was delivered to me quickly when finished and he regularly kept in touch with me in the status. A++++, perfect!
