Victor and the team on 12/13/25 provided excellent customer service and completed my routine maintenance servicing in a timely manner, despite being very short-staffed that day. I appreciated Victor’s friendly and helpful nature, and efficient communication. I used the shuttle service that day, which was a bit of a wait, but my driver was also very friendly and at least I was able to wait in the Customer Service Center lobby.
I do have some recommendations for the lobby amenities, which isn’t related to the service from Victor or the team that day. Given the long wait for the shuttle, it would be nice if there were snacks provided and more options for tea. I know other service centers have light snacks available for customers and a wider array of tea as well (particularly non-caffeinated tea, like mint or chamomile, rather than just the caffeinated black teas). Having snacks available for customers waiting in the lobby would make for an even better customer experience overall.
The job (oil change) took over 3 hours to complete when I was told at most it would take 2 hours. I then had to wait an hour and half to get a shuttle ride home. At vehicle pick up I noticed a deep scratch on the driver’s side door, which the advisor told me the manager would have to get back to me about the damage this dealership did on my car. I still have not heard anything from them. This was a very disappointing and frustrating trip to Honda of Oakland. I will not be returning and would not recommend to anyone. You expect a dealership to take good care of your car but instead you have to be hyper vigilant that no damage was caused, which in this case it was.
I made an appointment for 10 am for an oil change. I waited four hours because all the time I was told "they are already working on it". In the future just tell the customer to go away and come back if the car is ready. I wasted my whole day.

The recall software update took almost 5 hours to do. It was a lot longer than expected. We had to uber to run errands and back to the dealership because we waited almost an hour for the shuttle that never showed up. Tommy was great but even he couldn’t help.

$2,100 for a 90k mile service is overly excessive.

Poor communication as well as not addressing the root cause. Lastly, I was not informed of having a brake issue until I asked the cashier to explain the inspection sheet to me on 12/10.
I spoke to Barbara on 12/10 and told her that I never received info about my brakes nor provided consultation. She and I learned that Tommy did not fully submit/send the images to me on 12/9..
Overall, poor experience!
