I had to call corporate and get a case number for Honda Oakland to agree to replace my recalled fuel pump motor after many months of contacting them and being told they didn’t have the part. This time I was told I needed an inspection first and they would only fix it if there was a problem
which is why I called corporate. She told me to speak with the service manager. Allen had John call me. He told me he had put my name on the part and they could do it whenever I wanted. I had been told by a receptionist that they were completely backordered. I really cannot tolerate being lied to. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she did not know the parts had arrived. Obviously she told the service manager to give me a call after I told her I had a case number. The whole thing was pretty annoying. John was very helpful when I brought my car in for recall service. They looked at other things and told me I needed $1000 worth of work which I declined. They also left a socket wrench in my car which I will return next week. No idea what it was doing in my backseat . Is that how they get to the fuel pump? Seems pretty unlikely.
I dropped my car off on a Friday for a dead battery which, was under warranty, diagnostic test and blown fuse. Diem said he would try to get it done that day and if not he’d call me. He never called me and in the following days I called 3 times and never heard back.I did not get my car back until the following week on Thursday. Something this standard should never take a week long. Additionally, when I went to pick up my car it took more than 30 minutes to get it to me. The team said it was because they blocked in a car they were working on in front of my car. A Honda dealership should be more efficient than the disappointing service I received at Honda of Oakland.
Victor Martinez was excellent! He listened carefully, clearly conveyed my options, and I trusted him with my car. He was friendly and attentive. This is the first time I’ve come to the Oakland service center, but after my great experience with Victor, I’ll return whenever I need service. He is an ideal service agent.
Everyone very kind and professional
my visit to the service department today was the most pleasant in years. the service was fast, the people were polite, informed and very helpful. a good experience. thank you
Mr. Hong was so nice and kind explaining all.
Thank you again.
Customer service was great. However, the day after the maintenance appointment my tire pressure sensors turned on, so while I believe my tires were rotated as stated on the work order why, wouldn’t they check and adjust the tire pressure accordingly.
Great service the team so helpful to all my needs
He was great and took good care of us.
I had a very excellent service
Max was great. I came in at 0730 to get the work done early in the day. Max made that happen. Thanks!

Taz was professional, courteous & listened ????
I really regret going here.
1. Yesterday, after I picked up my car and left, I noticed on the paperwork a long list of items they said were wrong with my car. The paperwork said I had declined repairs. But no one ever spoke with me about these issues and I don't understand some of it.
2. I left phone messages and texts yesterday and today for Tommy to ask about the issues on the paperwork. I also left a message with the main office. I never got a call back.
