George was fine. There was some strange issue with the payment system, but I can easily overlook that. My main issue is that you suggested a repair that was estimated for over $1100. I found a respected mechanic in Santa Barbara who uses OEM parts who will be doing the work for $492. I called two other places and they also use OEM parts and gave estimates for under $600. When I asked about the steep difference, there was no logical answer for why your estimate was well over twice what other shops offer. Nor was there any attempt to offer a market appropriate estimate. I wonder if I would’ve received the same estimate if I was a man. I will not be back.
I was kept waiting longer than predicted but it was nice to be back at Toyota. Fresh coffee or tea bags would have been nice in the waiting room! ???? George was very nice and friendly.
Car was supposed to be in the shop for 4 hours. Other times it has taken an hour. Not the best expectations when you book an appointment.
Rick Segovia was very professional in assisting me today. He also notified me that about a recall on several parts of my Rav 4 needed replacement and that he would notify me when they arrived. I appreciated his honesty and efficiency in completing our transaction today.
