I have been avoiding bringing my car to dealerships for quite a while due to bad experiences with the local Chevrolet dealership but Alejandro was extremely personable and very responsive with the status of my car and making sure I had everything I needed even asking if I needed a drop off back to work which was very appreciated. I truly hope Alejandro’s great personality and work ethic is appreciated at this business people like him keep customers coming back, I will be recommending all my family and friends to look into getting their cars done through Alejandro.

I had an appointment today 5/14/26 at 9 am, I arrived at 8:50 and my Sienna was soon checked in. The supervisor, Jon, checked me in and let me know it would be 2 hours. I waited for my car onsite. I then see at 10:45 am that my car is pulled up front ready to go. I don’t know how long it was there before I saw it. I walk over to ask about my car and someone says that Jon will help me out. He was talking to another customer about their car while I’m about 15 feet away. That goes on for 15 more minutes. Then another gentleman comes to ask about his car and Jon attends him. I don’t get a response from Jon until 11:25 am. Then when he does give me the paperwork to sign, he doesn’t explain what was done with my car or when I should be back. I had to ask. I don’t like having my time wasted. I’m going to have to schedule maintenance elsewhere in the future.

Communication has always been an issue at the Santa Barbara location. I had to speak to 3 different people in order for the service advisor to realize my vehicle has a maintenance package that I paid for. She was trying to charge my husband over $300 for the service and when I called her out on it she blamed my husband saying he misunderstood and said she didn’t say that. Funny thing after I spoke to her and the other 3 people she said it was her coworkers fault because he called out sick so that’s why there was a confusion. This type of issue has happened a few too many times and I really wish the Toyota Service center worked on better communication. I really don’t want to take my other vehicle there especially if this issue might happen again.

Daniel was pretty slow to assist me and inconsiderate. I made a note in my phone to request another rep next time. I never got a text that my car was ready until after I picked it up. I dropped it off for an oil change, earlier than my appointment and the car was there for 4 hours. When I came to get my car Daniel said it was ready and then told me to sit and he would be a couple minutes preparing my paperwork. He then got on a lengthy phone call about another car. Then another women walked up in a revealing outfit and her got all her paperwork ready and signed and gave her the keys. All while I was sitting on the bench next to his cube. It was 25 min before I was brought my car. I was late to an appointment. He seemed completely unaware of his behavior and my needs. I had a similar experience when I dropped the car off for the appointment. I younger man w dark hair and earrings checked me in. I told him my daughter and I were bringing the car early because we had to catch the bus to take her to a doctors appointment. He was very slow to check us in. Moving in slow motion. Unbothered and almost seemed like he was checking us in intentionally slowly. Pretty obnoxious to be honest. He had the same slow, “I don’t give a ****” attitude the last time we came too. We made the bus by literally one minute. I’m a single parent and it’s extremely tricky to find even a few hours when I don’t need my car for work or to shuttle my daughter around. I have a nice car that I love and want to take good care of it and trust the mechanics at your dealership, but felt disrespected and disregarded during my last visit.

What is the purpose of having an appointment time when it takes so long even get checked in? This happens every time. I guess I should add an extra hour to my check-in time to plan for how long I will be there?
