It cost me $500 for a replacement taillight ($250 for the light and another $250 for it’s installation). Seems a tad high for a simple taillight replacement. But I’m an old guy and can ‘t quite come to grips with the staggering inflation today, it is mind-boggling. As for your operation, your mechanics and crew are spot on good. The service here has always been professional and informative.
The photo of the filters that were somewhat dirty, were resting on a car that was not mine. I was just wondering if those filters were just placed there for the photo only.

I went to Toyota after a piece of my car fell off on the freeway although I absolutely did not run over anything. I was told after they looked at it that the damage was due to impact and they couldn’t tell me if anything was missing from the car for sure, although I did see a piece, and reported so, actually fall from the car. I was told I would have to go to the body shop where they could tell me what was missing if anything and that they would have to fix the damage. After going to the body shop it has been confirmed that in fact there is NO evidence of impact at all and there is an entire piece missing that protects the undercarriage. That piece falling off and being dragged caused the damage. I was told that this does happen as the clips that keep it in place are plastic and even wind can cause this piece to fall off. I am now having to pay for this to be repaired when in fact a car that is not even two years old should not have entire pieces falling off. Perhaps even more concerning is that Toyota was unable to tell me that an entire piece was in fact missing despite me telling them I did in fact see it fall from the car. I called to discuss this with Toyota on Monday afternoon and each time I was put through to service it only rang and finally someone took a message for a return call. Yet I never received a call back. I called at 1:45. Toyota should be paying for this as pieces of the car should not be falling off in such a new car. My car is under warranty and again new cars should not have pieces falling off and service should have been able to tell me that in fact such a large piece of the car was in fact missing.
