I had an appointment at 9:15 for an oil change. I got there at 9:00 and there was already a line. I asked if they had appointments and some said no but they were ahead of me. Stacey said they had to get those cars in but the people with appointments would be done first. I asked Stacey how long it would take and she said about an hour or an hour and 30 min. I thought that was a little long since I had an appointment but she said that’s how long it would take. After about wn hour I asked her if she knew if it would be much longer , she wasn’t very pleasant and said they are working on it. After about an hour and 45 min I asked again and she said it was in line to be washed. I waited out front and a gentleman that worked there noticed I was waiting for a long time and asked if he could help me. I told him the situation and he said that was along time that he would go check on it, which I appreciated it. He came back and said it was in line for a car wash. I asked if they could pull it out of line since my car was clean but he said unfortunately they couldn’t so I had to wait another 20 min. At least he was nice about it and apologized. It shouldn’t take 3 hours to get an oil change with an appointment, so I wasn’t happy with the service!

I called early last week to schedule my appointment the svc tech, Jeff Bovee, answered. I could immediately tell by his tone, that either Jeff was having a bad day rushed or just didn’t have the kind of customer service courtesy that I am used to from your service department. I told him I was interested on coming in Friday morning for an oil change and that I also had a few other things that I needed looked at but before I could even explain any of the other things, he abruptly interrupted me and said we can discuss that when you come in but it was his tone like I said he was either having a bad day or that’s just his attitude but I didn’t like it and I was NOT looking forward to seeing him on Friday, but I know that you guys assign service tech to whoever takes the appointment, but I was dreading coming in because I figured he would be the same in person as he was over the phone. The previous svc tech I worked with a couple of times was Leo Moreno, who was very nice, professional and a great asset to your service team and I was told he moved to sales. I also worked with a very nice lady named Jessica who also moved on. I was disappointed because the turnover in your service department is high and when I find somebody I like I usually like to continue working with that individual. One of your other representatives Rick has been there for a long time, however I also find him unpleasant to work with and I know I’m not the only one that thinks that. What makes a pleasant experience for customers is a service person who has a sincerity about them that they really care about their customers and they show it by their positive attitude. I tried to explain to Jeff that the previous service tech told me to bring the air cabin filter that I purchased online and thought it would be easy for them just a pop up it in while they were changing my oil and Jeff rudely said well, most likely will charge you labor which would be about $44. He even made the most stupid comment to tell me to leave the part on my passenger side seat and maybe they will just pop it in for me while they’re changing my oil but he couldn’t guarantee that they wouldn’t charge me for it, I said that’s ridiculous that’s the reason I bought the part because I didn’t wanna pay $70 for part & labor!!! I also had a coupon for my oil change and for car wash and I asked if they vacuum the inside and he said they only do the front Driver seat as they do not have time to detail unless I wanted to pay $199. It was the said it with a total disrespectful attitude which I did not like at all.I know that for your longtime important customer such as myself, who purchased my vehicle at Hyundai Camelback I would think that I would get better service and an exceptions made considering as much money as I spent on a new car and for the services I’ve paid for. The other thing that upset me was your longtime service tech Rick, heard the whole conversation, he wasn’t busy and he could’ve totally interceded as a longtime knowledgeable employee he could offer to help the situation with the newer tech who was not being very helpful. I’m going to give this service department one more chance, I was told customers really like your service tech named Paul, so I’m going to book my appointment online with Paul next time hoping that my experience is better, hoping he is still there by then....??? If my next experience is not a good one, I will definitely be seeking another dealership to work with although it would be inconvenient because your location is closest to my work I’m willing to drive out of my way for better service......
