One of the reasons I brought my truck in was to replace the broken plastic tailgate handle on my truck. I t took me all of 2 seconds with a flashlight to determine it was the handle that was broke and nothing else. Brenda, the service writer said I was being charged 1 hour for a diagnostic to determine if the tailgate handle needed to be replaced. I said that was rediculous and she said how about a half hour? I asked what diagnostics were performed and she had no notes from the tech. I asked to speak with the service manager and she refused. She said she would have the tech call me but he never did. She now says that I will only be charged .2 hours. It seems to me as if they are trying to squeeze any money they can out of me. I plan on canceling my service plan and extended warranty that I got at the time of my vehicle purchase. I am a mechanic in a Harley service department, so I do have experience with how a service department should be run. This was a terrible customer experience and I won’t be back. One of the most important rules of business is that you can shear a sheep many times but you can only skin them once. I feel like they were more interested in getting as much money out of me as they could and absolutely no interest in customer satisfaction.

Please consider how to perform oil changes in a shorter time frame? I come to West Hills because I bought my Mazdas there and I trust the work on them will be done well, but waiting for over an hour for an oil change appointment to be completed taxes my bad back pretty badly in trying to sit that long. Other than the time involved, I have no complaints about my service at West Hills.
