I have Toyota care on my vehicle that I purchased last December. The. Rep informed me that one of my services was “skipped” because I brought the vehicle in for the first time at around 7500 miles. Apparently, the oil change/tire rotation that I had expected with first service was part of the second service. So this time at 15000 miles, I had to use my 20000 mile service to get my oil changed. I wish I had been better informed exactly which services would be performed at each service visit included in Toyota Care by my salesman. Actually, although I gave him a “5/5” rating, my salesman didn’t go over anything about my vehicle. It was late in the day, and he needed to drive the vehicle to Port Ludlow to get my husband’s signature-and I was invited to group event at the dealership to go over all the details. But-I also had bought my previous RAV-4 at Toyota of Puyallup, and the salesman had stayed late sittinfg in the car with me, setting up my phone, radio and thoroughly explaining operation of the vehicle. I did trade in that 2016 vehicle with this purchase, so I was pretty comfortable with its daily operation, but it would have been nice if he had taken the time to help me set up my phone, etc. It also would have been nice if he had explained that Toyota only allowed/“recommended” an oil change every 10,000 miles. Having driven many cars over the past 45 years, I had not heard it could go that long between changes-even with synthetic oil. Anyway-that being said, I felt that the Rep yesterday was originally kind of “snippy” when I asked about the missing service. Maybe my patience wasn’t what it usually is, either, as I was in a hurry to drop off the vehicle, rent a car and get to work in Tacoma on time. Overall-it just didn’t feel like the level of service I have come to expect from your service department Thanks for your interest in my feedback!

I had an appt 10:25am, checked in and Micheal Smitley helped me out. Took all my info and said that, he will call me as soon as service is completely. I waited in the waiting are, got my complimentary drink. I checked my watch and it was 12:07pm. Michael came and had told me, let me check your car right now, it should be done. Minutes later, he came and explained to me that he made a mistake, the mechanics are at a meeting right now and so my van has not even started. I was upset, told him that I had to be back at work. He said he was sorry and had called the service car to take me to work and be picked up after work. This is why I was not satisfied. It’s a human mistake and it happens.
