I bought the vehicle Friday, May 22. Everything worked fine during the test drive. Once the keys were turned over to me, the radio failed to operate. I got with the service member (Aaron Rocksmith) and salesman (Christ Strobel), and they gave me two options: To either stay while they troubleshoot (which could take hours) or put a new radio on order and come back to have it replaced. I chose to come back to have it replaced. Both gentlemen understood the plan which was to order the new part so that I could have it replaced at a later scheduled date, Thursday, May 28. This morning, Wednesday, May 27, my battery was dead. I got a jump and took the car straight to the dealership. After running diagnostics tests, Mr. Rocksmith explained to me that the battery just needed a charge, and it died due to it sitting in the lot for an extended period of time from covid restrictions. I had driven the car all weekend, and to my knowledge, that is an acceptable amount of time to allow the battery to charge. Furthermore, he told me that they confirmed the radio was bad, and that a new radio was to be put on order today. This would take about 2-3 weeks. I asked why the radio had not been ordered yet, and Mr. Rocksmith said that he doesn’t have the authority to order a brand new radio without troubleshooting. Understood. My complaint is, why was I TOLD it would be on order last Friday when apparently, you do not have the authority to do that. If I knew that was the case, I would have allowed them to troubleshoot last Friday. Furthermore, I am quite certain I didn’t leave anything on in the vehicle overnight to cause the battery to drain. This leads me to believe there are other electronic issues, and a simple battery charge isn’t sufficient repair. This is a brand new car. I should not be experiencing these issues. If there is anything you can do to help me, I would greatly appreciate it. I still have a few issues that are unresolved with my brand new car: a questionable battery, a broken radio, and being given misinformation on the status of repair parts (radio).
