Mr. Morgan was very helpful and did a great job. He was courteous and efficient. It was a pleasure to do business with mr. Morgan. I do have a separate issue with a person called J.J. When J.J. called me he told me what needed to be replaced on my vehicle and I asked how much it would cost. He said that it would be more than $900.00 . I asked him why it was so much? I was familiar with what was broken. The cost of the individual part wouldn't be very expensive ( maybe $30.00) but he said that Toyota doesn't sell the individual part, they only the whole assembly. He said that the assembly costs over $600.00. I told him that that doesn't make any sense and that is totally unreasonable. J.J. Then said that I have to tell him right now it I want it done because he has to order it right now or I wouldn't get my car repaired because he couldn't get the part. I said that I wanted to make a call or two to check the price of the part was so unreasonable. He sai well ok but you won't get the part today. He then became insistent that I had to tell him now if I wanted to get my car repaired. I told him I needed the vehicle to be repaired so go ahead and get the part. I pointed out to him that they had my vehicle since 2pm the day before, and that it was obvious what needed to be repaired. I didn't understand why he waited until a few minutes before he had to call in for the part that he finally called me, I am very unhappy about the high pressure sales tactic that he used to force me to say yes for the work, and to not be able to check for prices of parts and services. Later I went to two different auto parts stores and asked how much would an exact same (NEW) assembly cost from their store ? The first stores price was $69.99. The second store was $79.99. After finding this information I was furious that theToyota dealer was charging over $600.00 for the exactly the same assembly part. This is blatant extortion from Toyota and their employee using high pressure sales tactics to inforce such a high price. I did talk to the manager about what had happened and he agreed that it should have never occurred. The manager was very courteous and helpful and gave a percentage off of the overall cost, but I still feel I was taken advantage of in this situation. I have purchased 3 Toyota vehicles in the past, (2 of them from Longo Toyota) and I feel this type of price gouging is a very poor way to run a business. If I would have had just a couple of minutes to call around to find out about how much it would take for me or any other mechanic to repair, I would have never agreed to have the work done at Longo Toyota. I am very unhappy about being severely overcharged for a part that I can get for 8 times less from any auto parts store.
