We were advised we needed brakes. I made time for my wife to bring the vehicle in for brakes and after 5 hours then told we don’t need brakes. A complete wast of our day. And ruined any trust I have in this department. Will be taking my vehicle elsewhere from now on.

MK Smith needs to step up in the service Dept… After dealing with Mark Christopher for my wife’s Cadillac, MK needs to look at doing the small stuff to make sure that Customers have a positive experience when they come to you. A car wash goes a long way. Yes it was dirty when I brought it in but the extra paw prints?!?! Taking care of a recall item (software update)while the car is there vs having to make another appointment! My customer service rep, Susan was very nice to deal with. I think these issues are something that the overall department needs to reevaluate!

This was by far the worst experience I’ve dealt with from a dealership. I was given a 9am appointment to diagnose and repair my ac unit on my 2015 Tahoe blowing warm air. By having an appointment I expected to pick up my Tahoe by end of day, I ended up picking it up late afternoon the following day. I was told the technician never looked at the issue/problem the day of the appointment. If this is the level of service MK Smith provides, Jennifer should have told me that this could be a possibility. No loaner car was offered. Lastly, I asked for the repaired “broken” part to inspect, I was told it wasn’t available. I’ve had my Tahoe serviced by M K several times in the past few years and have been extremely satisfied. A few years back I had decided to give MK a chance to earn my business changing from Glendora Chevrolet. After this experience I’m hesitant to bring my vehicle back in for its next service.

I had a trouble code on my vehicle that I bought a genuine GM part for (body control module) and brought to the dealership to have installed. I had previously been quoted $160 by a local mechanic for the install, however he recommended having it installed by a dealership. Service manager Gary Navarette insisted I must not know what I’m talking about and said a diagnostic had to be run, during which time he replaced a completely different system (brake control module) and charged me nearly $1300. We scheduled a service appointment for Wednesday June 23rd, however our vehicle sat for several weeks before it was even run through diagnostic. When we picked up our vehicle 3 weeks later, it had the added pleasant bonus of someone’s half eaten peach left in the center console to leave sticky residue in the summer heat. My wife mentioned this to an employee who made no offer to clean the mess and we had to take care of this ourselves. A few days later, our vehicle had the check engine light and same mechanical issue pop up due to the body control module, leaving me to wonder why Mr Navarette insisted on ignoring our request to replace the part I had in hand and knew was the culprit. Whether this was done out of incompetence or to take advantage of us and upcharge us for unnecessary repairs that did not fix the problem, we will never return to this dealership. I am certain nothing will be done internally as Mr Navarette has been elevated to a position of management at this business despite ripping off customers, however I will make sure anyone I know in the market for a vehicle or maintenance steers clear of MK Smith.
