I made an appointment to service the passenger air bag factory recall. Upon arrival I was told the part still needed to be ordered.

I was told “the technician found an oil leak and we recommend that you do an oil diagnostic in the future.” I asked where did they notice oil coming from or what area had oil residue. “The engine, it has a lot of areas where oil could come from. We don’t know where it was, we would need to do a diagnostic. I asked, why would I want to do a diagnostic if you can’t tell me where you think there might be an oil leak? “Because we don’t know where the oil is coming from until we do the diagnostic.” I asked how do you know it’s leaking and requires another device? “Because there was a leak.” Service like this is why I took my business elsewhere for anything other than engine repair. Not to mention the engine bay had spilled oil on the battery post, battery tray, oil cap, and coolant shroud.

I was not called when my Tahoe was available for pick up nor that closure was at 5PM rather than what is still on the estimate as 6PM. I would think that different hours would be posted on the service office doors and the service rep. would mention a closure time. I arrived at 5:15 and thanks to Matt Düsseldorf releasing my Tahoe able leave for my planned trip. I would encourage you to post new hours and the service techs to emphasize the 5PM closure.

Chris was fine but the service rep who was asked to explain the itemized charges was condescending and stated he could have charged me more but didn't. Additionally I specifically requested that my rear wiper blade be replaced but it was the only one that wasn't.
