This was by far the worst experience I’ve had having my vehicle serviced. Firstly, I had an appointment at 11:15, wasn’t helped until 11:40. Then I was given several bits of deliberate misinformation with the intention to get me to spend more money for pointless service. Byron said the tires that come on the car do not carry any type of warranty with Honda nor with Michelin. This was false. I called Michelin after leaving the dealership and after providing my vehicle and tire information was told to find an authorized Michelin dealer to have my tire looked at as the damage to it was likely covered by their warranty. Went to an America’s Tire after picking up the car and was prorated for a full set of new tires for 50$ more than you quoted me FOR ONE. Second, Byron told me that I had to have my brake fluid replaced because (he said this verbatim) “the regenerative braking causes more wear on my brake system.” Do you think I’m stupid or does he actually not know how regenerative braking works? The clarity, a PLUG IN HYBRID, has an electric motor that it uses for regenerative braking which REDUCES the wear on the brakes prolonging their life. This is common knowledge for electric or semi-electric cars and what he said was BLATANT misinformation. He was standoffish the entire time and didn’t have a response when I challenged his lie about the brakes. I’m glad my lease is up in January but if I need service between now and then, it definitely will not be at Hardin.
