Service representative miguel informed me of the findings on my 1991 toyota land cruiser after a diagnostic inspection, he informwd me of my vehicle needing a brand new throttle body, also claims the radiator has a hole on it and also the vehicle needs a new brake booster and master cylinder he claims all these parts are bad and obsolete and sadly he can not make the necessary repairs to the vehicle because yoyota does not have these parts, when the vehicle arrived at my house I performed my own trouble shooting of the throttle system and found the high iddle issue was not caused by a throttle body which suffered a mechanical failure, the problem is a damaged throttle cable with broken strands that are binding up at the firewall not allowing the foot pedal to return to zero when released, in addition the radiator does not have any marks indicating the specific location of said hole and there are no notes of the specific location of the radiator "hole" causing the leak, I stopped my investigation of the dealer diagnostic inspection after realizing that they have lost all their credibility by lying about their findings. Either the service representative is incompetent and the technician is under qualified to trouble shoot and diagnose vehicles or they are deliberately lying to customers about the repairs needed, either because they are using predatory practices or simply do not want to do their job.

I don’t understand why there isn’t a process to determine if the wheels are out of alignment BEFORE any actual work is performed. Also there’s a one size fits all pricing no matter how much or how little work is required.
