Failed to put screws back on door panel as well as the safety plastic to prevent future electrical issues. Also did not replace recall switch knowing the part was not available before even starting on inspection. Wasting my time and the service guy who looked at it. I own three hondas that will never be serviced by your establishment.

I recently brought my vehicle into the Honda dealership to have the A/C compressor replaced, which is covered under Honda’s extended warranty program. My air conditioning was not blowing cold air as it should, and since I received a letter from Honda about this specific warranty coverage, I decided to take my car to the dealership to have it properly handled.
After inspection, I received a call from Martine, the service advisor, informing me that the A/C compressor was leaking. However, I was told that Honda would not replace the compressor under warranty unless I also agreed to pay about $2,000 out of pocket to replace the evaporator, which was also leaking. I explained that I only wanted to replace the compressor, the part covered under warranty, but was told that was not an option.
Martine gave me only two choices: pay $2,000 to replace both the compressor and the evaporator, or decline the repair and pay a $170 inspection fee to take my vehicle back. There was no flexibility, no willingness to help find a solution, and no clear explanation of why the warranty would not be honored for the covered component. I felt completely stuck, as this should have been a straightforward warranty repair.
At this time, I have not paid anything, and my vehicle remains at the dealership while I seek to contact Honda corporate for a fair resolution. I would not have taken my car in had I known it would turn into this type of situation. I could have easily gone to a certified A/C specialist to diagnose and repair the issue myself, but I chose the dealership because I trusted Honda to stand behind their warranty.
After researching, I also found that this particular Honda model has a well documented issue with faulty A/C compressors that can cause further damage to other A/C system components. This makes the dealership’s refusal to replace the warranted part even more disappointing.
Overall, while Martine was professional in communication, the lack of customer support and refusal to honor the warranty has left me deeply dissatisfied. I hope Honda reviews this situation and ensures that customers like me receive fair treatment under warranty terms.
