On Monday I told your representative over the phone when I asked if your dealership could help me that my vehicle had been having issues since being worked on by an auto mechanic from a different garage who had installed a new engine. I dropped off my vehicle at your service center on Thursday and included two pages of hand written description of the recent history of the car, including a description of how it had been having issues since a different mechanic had installed a new engine. I then left the vehicle over night at your shop. 24 hours later i receive notice by text message that no diagnostic testing of the vehicle would be performed and no repair work would be done because a different mechanic had installed an engine in the vehicle and Hyundai Suntrup didn’t want to be involved in looking at someone else’s work. You could have told me this when I called on the phone on Monday. You also could have told me this when I checked the vehicle in on Thursday. This was a tremendous waste of time. Further, on Friday, representative Wolf would not return my phone calls when I asked to speak about the issue over the phone. When I received a text message notifying me that no work would be performed, I asked for a phone call back. Wolf said she would call me but did not. I tried calling your service center three times and each time I was transferred to Wolf’s phone line and got no response. You all wasted a week of my time that I could have spent having my vehicle looked at by someone who was actually willing to look at it. You also cost me $100 in cab fare driving from St Louis City to your dealership.

The communication throughout this entire process was horrendous. There were multiple days without updates and multiple calls and messages that went unreturned. There were no updates given until a voicemail that said it was “good news” and a promise for another phone call that never came. Communication was so bad my wife and I had to physically drive up to the dealership to get an answer. I’d really prefer to follow up with someone else as I know developmentally delayed toddlers that have better communication skills than Tim.
