As usual, I received excellent service on our car's latest service. I just wish that replacing our Highlander's alternator & belt wasn't so horrendously expensive. I own a 1964 Plymouth Belvedere that's been in the family for 50 years now. During that time I've replaced the alternator many times, and I've never had the cost for an alternator & fanbelt exceed $80 (It's usually about $45 for a rebuilt alternator for my Plymouth). That's less than one-tenth of the cost of replacing the alternator in our 2001 Highlander. It's rather mind-boggling just how expensive this repair turned out to be!
