He gave me advice about my car, stating the AC for my Prius C is sealed and does not require coolant maintenance. He also reminded me that the outside tire store does not perform alignment. I promptly ordered one. Later, I discovered a coupon for the oil change service. He graciously added it to my invoice. I’ve been going to him for many years! Great service!

I received a text that work was completed on my vehicle at 11 am. I showed up at 12:30pm to pick up my vehicle. Upon showing up my service specialist was unavailable to be found. Presumably on lunch that’s understandable, however after the gentleman at the counter investigated, work was not yet completed. He told me it would be another 10-15 min. I waited 35 minutes until I asked once again about my vehicle. He then reached out and finally made contact with my service specialist. I was able to speak with him and complete my last needed document (adding a home address). I want to be clear that this shouldn’t have hindered the completion of the vehicle because that’s easy communication and one I did not feel comfortable sharing over text. We finished up and he said to go back in to the cashier. I finished the paperwork inside and returned to wait for my vehicle. To my surprise when they pulled my truck out after a few minutes of waiting, it was not washed. One of the most exciting parts of this trip is that I would drive away in a freshly cleaned car. I asked the gentleman that drove it up if cleaning the car was part of the service. He said, as he walked away and barely looked back “car wash is broken.” I’m not sure if it was really broken or McDonald’s ice cream machine broken. However, I was very frustrated after a wait that should have never needed to happen and a truck that was not washed. Two easy fixes to this to prevent further customer dissatisfaction: just don’t send any text about completion of the vehicle until it’s actually completed. Thankfully I did not wait 6 hours (appt at 7, left at 1:30) in the lobby. I returned home and only came back because I had received the text. I could have returned to Toyota gladly two hours later when service was actually complete. Secondly, if your vehicle isnt able to be washed, just be upfront about it. Then there’s no expectation and I’m fine with that reality. Surprising someone negatively when they think that service will be compete, only to find out it’s not currently offered is a tough last look at the service provided. I’ll look to another Toyota shop in the future to service my vehicle.
